HIDDEN POISONS
IN YOUR LAUNDRY DETERGENT
Let's' talk about something that almost everyone wears on their clothes, breathes on their pillowcases.
Destroys many septic tanks and leaches into lakes and streams. Think about it when you lay your face down on your pillowcase for almost 1/3 of your life -especially in the winter when it is cold and your hot breath breaks down the following chemicals: PHOSPHATES -phosphorus -a fertilizer that causes algae to grow and depletes water of oxygen. CHLORINE BLEACH -Sodium Hyperciorite LYE -Sodium Hydroxide AMMONIA PHENO FILLERS NTA "s and assortment of toxic chemicals with Un-pronounceable names like "Nitrilotriacetic Acid".
The Merck Index refers to NTA's">NTA's as a substance we may reasonably anticipate being a carcinogen (cancer causing substances). Amazingly, it IS STILL ALLOWED in our laundry compounds! When we consider the residue of caustic detergents, oily fabric Softeners, and chemical perfumes and dyes, we need to ask ourselves-ARE WE REALLY CLEAN? What chemicals are we wearing on our skin and breathing in our pillowcases? Now we ask? Why are Phosphates used in laundry detergents? Because they soften the water and enhance performance.
Phosphates were one of the major contributors to the virtual death of Lake Erie in the 1970's. It also contributed to the ruining of the Cascade Reservoir in Idaho! According to David Kullburg's new Publication, "Housework may be Hazardous to Your Health", many areas of the country are requiring Laundry detergents to be low-phosphate.
Now manufacturers REPLACE PHOSPHATES with CAUSTICS! The misconception now is that low phosphates are safe.
They may be safer for the environment, but they are 100times more CAUSTIC than PHOSPHATE detergent! Caustics such as Lye Sodium Hydroxide or Potassium Hypochlorite clean by a chemical reaction that burns or eats away substances.
Caustics also wear out clothes faster and dull the fabric's colors. If there were no other alternatives that would be another story.
Our company has been manufacturing safer, more effective and cost-effective home hygiene products for 23 years.
